We were delighted to see our Apprenticeship scheme recognized at the East Riding College internal awards in Beverley on March 20th.
We are extremely proud to report that our Apprenticeship
scheme has received the Training Champion award from East
Riding College
as part of their annual internal awards programme.
The award ceremony took place on 20th March at the parkway cinema in Beverley.
Dovecote Park
were represented at the ceremony by Penny
Marlow, Human Resources Manager, Dave
Stringer, Apprencite Trainer and Damien McKnight, Primary Process Training
Officer. Dave Stringer (pictured)
accepted the award on behalf of Dovecote
Park.
The citation for the award stated;
‘Over the past 2 years
Dovecote Park have been working with East Riding College to recruit Young people onto their
apprenticeship programme. During this time they have provided learners with
excellent on and off the job training, including additional in house and
external qualifications alongside their apprenticeship.
Dovecotes social
commitment to the young people is outstanding and the investment of both time
and money to support these individuals outside of their working day has been
exemplary.
Dovecotes have also
retained the majority of the individuals appointed to the apprenticeship
programme and provided career opportunities and progression routes within the
organization upon completion of their apprenticeship.
This dedication to
developing employees for the benefit of the business and the individual is the
reason why we would like to recognize Dovecote Park this evening.’
We are delighted to see the scheme recognised, and would
like to congratulate Dave, Damien and the production staff for their efforts in
incorporating the apprentices into our business, and also to congratulate the
apprentices whom we have worked with for their hard work – we look forward to seeing the continued success of this scheme!
